National Philanthropy

The Robbie Page Memorial was adopted as Sigma Sigma Sigma's national philanthropy in 1954. Robbie, the son of Tri Sigma's 4th national president, died of polio in 1951. Sigma Sigma Sigma adopted the memorial fund as the national philanthropy to support a sister and to reach out to children in need. The Robbie Page Memorial currently provides play therapy for children with terminal illnesses. Nationally, funds are given mainly to the Children’s Medical Center in Dallas, Texas and the University of North Carolina Hospitals in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

Local Philanthropy

The Zeta Psi chapter holds different events in order to raise money for the Robbie Page Memorial. Annually, Tri Sigma holds an event called "Sixty Second Scramble" which was modeled after the hit TV show "Minute to Win It." This Spring, we held an event named "Hula for Hope," in which students participated in a community wide hula hooping contest. Tri Sigma also participated in a "Run for Robbie" marathon to support our philanthropy this past fall.

Additionally, Zeta Psi participates in various community and school events to support other organizations' philanthropies as well as other causes. Recently, sisters have made sandwiches for the hungry, assisted in Eick cleanups every week, taught Kindergarteners about mental health awareness at a local elementary school, and participates yearly in TCNJam!
