National History

​Sigma Sigma Sigma was founded on April 20, 1898 at Longwood College in Farmville, VA by eight women who wished to create perpetual bonds of friendship, develop strong womanly character, and promote high standards of ethical conduct. The bonds of sisterhood that were created by eight women now link more than 100,000 Tri Sigma sisters together nationally 

 

Chapter History

​The Zeta Psi chapter of Sigma Sigma Sigma is an organization based on leadership, friendship and sisterhood. Tri Sigma was installed at TCNJ on April 13, 1997 and it was formerly the local sorority Omega Psi, which was founded in 1958. The Zeta Psi chapter still follows some traditions of Omega Psi that have been practiced  at TCNJ for over 50 years. We treasure the alumni of Sigma Sigma Sigma and Omega Psi for laying the groundwork for Tri Sigma today.
